Lactation Visits are covered by your insurance, under the Affordable Care Act. You can check with your insurance company about coverage. Go to the Book Consultation page when you are ready to make an appointment. You will receive a Superbill to submit to your insurance. Most breastfeeding concerns require immediate assistance, I will get back to you within 24 hours.

Empower yourself with knowledge with a one on one breastfeeding prenatal session.
This 60 minute session will prepare you for the first minutes, hours and days of breastfeeding. All of your questions and concerns will be addressed.
We will discuss:
How your birth can affect breastfeeding outcomes
The benefits of breastfeeding for you and your baby
The importance of skin to skin and the first breastfeed
When to breastfeed
How to breastfeed
How to avoid supplementing
Tips to establish a good milk supply
Pumping and the correct flange size
Hand expression to increase your milk supply
When and how to supplement in the early days and how to avoid baby developing a nipple preference
Breast milk storage

We can have a visit while you remain comfortable in your home. I have helped over 1,000 families virtually! You must have an adequate internet connection with adequate lighting. You may want a second set of hands to help with positioning the device for the best viewing.
We will cover the following:
-How to increase or maintain your milk supply.
-Recognizing your baby's hunger cues.
-Determining a feeding schedule.
- Making sure your baby is latched properly.
-Treatment for sore or cracked nipples.
-Treatment for breast engorgement.
-Finding the best breastfeeding position for you and your baby.
-Make sure your baby is gaining weight.
-Using your breast pump to express breastmilk.
-Answer your questions and addressing your concerns.
Cost: $150.

I can do a home visit if you live near the capital district in Albany, NY. Your breastfeeding visit will include:
-How to increase or maintain your milk supply.
-Recognizing your baby's hunger cues.
-Determining a feeding schedule.
-Making sure your baby is latched properly.
-Treatment for sore or cracked nipples.
-Treatment for breast engorgement.
-Finding the best breastfeeding position for you and your baby.
-How to know if baby is getting enough.
-Making sure your baby is gaining weight.
-Using your breast pump to express breastmilk.
-Answer your questions and addressing your concerns.
Cost: $200.

We will check in 2-4 days after the initial visit and discuss:
-Determine if feeding plan is working and update.
-Address any questions or concerns you have.
-What to expect in the next weeks of breastfeeding.
This is covered with your additional visit, up to 3 follow up calls, if you require additional help the cost is $50.

Some breastfeeding questions can be addressed with a quick phone consult.
This 30 minutes consult will address your immediate concerns and determine if a longer visit is needed.
